Fox has released the first full trailer for it’s upcoming X-Men TV series, called The Gifted. The show follows a family who has mutant kids as they go on the run from a government that is far from mutant friendly. Because of the super confusing world of the X-Men movies, it’s impossible to tell right now which timeline this takes place in, but it just adds to my theory that Fox has stopped caring about continuity in the X-Men universe. Regardless, The Gifted looks really cool and it will be interesting to see the X-Men characters on TV as a series rather than the very hit or miss movies. The Gifted isn’t out until this Fall, but until then you can check out the awesome debut trailer down below and for more like this, keep it G33k!
A family goes on the run from a hostile government agency when parents Reed (Stephen Moyer) and Kate (Amy Acker) Stewart learn their children have mutant abilities. With the help of an underground network of mutant rebels —including Blink (Jamie Chung), Thunderbird (Blair Redford), and Polaris (Emma Dumont)— the Stewart kids will need to learn how to master their “gifts” … or else.
